Thank you to all of those who attended our Voices Unlocked Conference in November 2016.
Keynote speakers included Lady Edwina Grosvenor from One Small Thing, Professor Peter Kinderman from the British Psychological Society, and Sara Hyde from Working Chance. We had updates and presentation from the Hearing Voices groups at Springfield Hospital, Wormwood Scrubs and Pentonville.
Although the conference happened to take place the week of the unofficial industrial action in English prisons, we had over 70 attendees. The industrial action became a springboard for a discussion around the current challenges in the prison landscape, and how forensic services can support people who hear voices, see visions and experience unusual sensations or beliefs.
